Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary contact for the Project Manager on all SAP development-related inquiries.
- Manage ABAP and Fiori/UI5 development resources.
- Ensure SAP development estimates are accurate and realistic.
- Provide input on system landscape discussions (DEV, TEST, QA, PROD) and ensure System Owners are involved in decision-making.
- Review technical designs and determine the best approach for development.
- Lead or support decisions on SAP system integration technologies, including SOAP, ALE, ODATA, IDOC, Proxy, BTP, and others.
- Assist in selecting third-party tools for integration into the SAP landscape.
- Support the Project Manager in planning project phases, accounting for other SAP project timelines and any technical dependencies.
- Oversee the delivery of the project build phase, considering technical dependencies and project timelines.
- Support the Test Manager in planning and executing SIT, UAT, and regression testing.
- Ensure completion of technical documentation and solution readiness for business-as-usual (BAU) support.
- Assist with Cutover preparations and manage SAP transport releases.
- Oversee BAU handover to 2nd- and 3rd-level SAP Support, ensuring handover completion by Go-Live or after the hypercare phase.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.
- Ensure adherence to SAP development standards, quality gates, ATC checks, GDPR compliance, and data deletion protocols.
- Act as an escalation point for the SAP development team within assigned projects.
Essential Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of SAP technologies, including ABAP, Fiori/UI5 (preferred), and SAP infrastructure.
- Previous experience in an SAP Lead role.
- Extensive experience in SAP development with a proven track record in designing and delivering solutions.
- Experience in controlled project environments and managing SAP project builds.
- Demonstrated ability to lead project teams functionally.
- Solid understanding of SAP change and transport management processes.
- Ability to independently resolve complex issues.
- Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
