For an end client based in the South of France we are looking for a TOS Project Manager with Navis skills:
Overview of Role :
- Your role involves being a Project Manager as well as a Business Analyst depending on the phase of the project involved.
- As a Project Manager, your focus is mainly on Terminal Solution implementation projects (migration as well as upgrade) or greenfield terminal projects.
- As a Business Analyst, your focus is on understanding and assessing the needs & procedures of the Terminal and documenting the project (Terminal Solution Implementation, Migration or Upgrade) requirements in coordination with all concerned stakeholders utilizing BPMN diagraming standards. Based on your experience, you are expected to provide recommendations to address the needs.
- You will provide planning, leading the involved team members, monitoring progress, defining deadlines, addressing issues during project execution, managing budget, ensure stakeholder satisfaction and evaluating project performance.
You will report directly to the Head of the IT Terminals Group.
Responsibilities :
As a Project Manager your responsibilities are, but not limited to the following:
- Setting project goals and coming up with plans to meet those goals
- Maintaining project timeframes, budgeting estimates and status reports providing feedback to the local terminal stakeholders and global project director making recommendations to adjust the project as appropriate.
- Managing resources for projects, such as computer equipment and employees
- Coordinating project team members and developing schedules and individual responsibilities
- Implementing IT strategies that deliver projects on schedule and within budget
- Using project management tools to track project performance and schedule adherence
- Conducting risk assessments for projects
- Organizing meetings to discuss project goals and progress
- Work with the concerned vendors to ensure a multi-party team operates in an efficient and cohesive manner to achieve project success
- Managing the Terminal Solution Selection Process from conception to completion and providing the final recommendation on the Terminal Solution selection process
As a Business Analyst your responsibilities are, but not limited to the following:
- Business Requirement Definition : Understand, collect, analyze and challenge the functional needs of the users and translate needs for the Terminal Solution
- As-Is and To-Be business processes Definition : Defining new Business Process, impacts on existing Process and KPI targeted
- Business Specification
- Writing business specifications, integrating the constraints of implementation in the information system and accompany the deployment of the solutions.
- Analyzing the business needs and producing the required process flow models
- Identifying all required Terminal Solution interface requirements to 3rd party solutions (ERP, EAM/CMMS, PCS, etc.)
- RFP Selection Process
- Producing all the necessary Terminal Solution requirements document for the Terminal Solution selection process
- Evaluating Terminal Solution proposals
- Detailed Specification Review
- Involving in Gap Analysis workshops with local team and suppliers
- Reviewing Detailed and Product specification provided by suppliers and solutions providers
- Test Plan Definition, Execution and Follow-up
- Defining Test Plan and Data Migration Strategies
- Ensuring accuracy of UAT Plans as well as the proper execution of UAT activities
- Interact with operational experts to deliver tested, high quality work that meets agreed requirements
- Ensuring that UAT results meet all the operational and functional requirements of the Terminal Solution are achieved
- Change management
- Support the Terminal local team in the change management implementation (new process implementation, training people from UAT to post go-live).
Required Skills:
- Project management experience in the field of Terminal Solutions systems (TOS, GOS, Gate OCR, Process Automation) with a minimum of 5 prior migrations or full implementations completed. You are expected to have a strong sense of personal ownership of your projects and their successful outcome.
- A minimum of 5 years experience as a Business Analyst for Terminal solution projects
- NAVIS N4 Experience is an advantage
- Experience managing the implementation of OCR, DGPS and PDS/RTLS solutions in the marine terminal
- Knowledge on how TOS, OCR, DGPS and PDS/RTLS solutions work independently or as part of a whole global solution when integrated.
- At least 5 years IT professional experience working in the marine container terminal or container dry port industry is a big advantage.
- Demonstrated leadership of multi-discipline, high performance teams with diverse geographic locations, and cultural backgrounds
- Ability to travel to the project terminal site when required
- Must be able to fluently speak/read/write in English.
- Bachelor Degree Preferred
- PMI certification and other advanced training is preferred.
- Voluntary IT certification in operating systems and other IT technology products is an advantage. Industry-neutral certifications like those offered by the Computing Technology Industry Association, Project Management Institute or the Security Certified projects are an advantage.
